Every year, the RCSA elects student council members who will represent students across various governing groups within Regent and UBC. It’s you, the student member, who can nominate your future council.

Qualifications

All nominees must be nominated by at least one nominator. Nominees must be in good standing. Good standing includes (1) not being on academic probation, (2) not having any unaddressed financial obligations to the College, and (3) not being under any current disciplinary measure related to the Student Code of Conduct.

For detailed role descriptions, see the Council Seats page.

    1. Consider nominees
Who would you want to see as a council member? Who do you see as a servant leader and one who could lovingly invest in the present and future of Regent?

    2. Invite nominees
Approach the potential nominee and invite them to prayerfully consider being nominated for a position. It’s helpful to describe why you think they would make a good student leader. This is a great opportunity to affirm and encourage your fellow classmates.

    3. Nominate
If your nominee confirms their interest in being nominated, you (the nominator) can submit the Nomination Form (A) which will require a signature from the nominee.

    4. Submit nominee form
The nominee will then submit the Nominee Form (B), in which the nominee will provide a brief bio, profile photo, and reason for running.

    5. Nominees presented
The nominees will be presented to the RCSA (in written form) and elections will occur online. The results will be reviewed by the Student Elections Monitor, RCSA President, and Dean of Student Office and presented the following day.

  • All qualified Council nominees will be posted here on Sept. 30, 2024.
