Hello, hola, xin chào, สวัสดี, hallo, 你好, haye, g’day!

What is the RCSA?

The Regent Student College Association (RCSA) is made up of all students currently enrolled in at least 3 credits, who paid student fees. If this is true for you, you’re part of the RCSA!

The RCSA elects a student council annually to cultivate community connection, represent the student voice across the College’s governing groups, and partner with the Dean of Students Office to serve the students in co-curricular spaces.

What does the RCSA Council do?

Represent students

The council represent the study body across committees with faculty, staff, and board members. These committees engage with academic, institutional, and co-curricular concerns and opportunities. The VP Student Life represents Regent students in the UBC Affiliate committee.

sponsor amenities

Did you know that the student kitchen, prayer chapel, and library computer lab is sponsored and managed by the council? The council also provides access to lockers and can sponsor new ideas that benefit the community. The water filling stations and library standing desks were RCSA initiatives!

organize community events

At Regent, we value rhythms of annual whole-community celebrations. The council hosts the annual spring banquet, L’Chaim, and co-hosts the annual Christmas party. Other smaller events occur throughout the terms to cultivate connection.

sponsor student newspaper

Et Cetera is our student newspaper. Written by students for community, the Et Cetera is published on a monthly basis this year (in print and online). Any current student may submit writings for review. Look out for the bi-weekly Greensheets in the atrium that include external events and resources in Vancouver!

support student initiatives

Each year brings different people, opportunities, and ideas to enrich our communal student experience. The council can support student-led initiatives across academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular ideas that enrich Regent students.

Listen & advocate

The council members regularly host “office hours” in the atrium. It’s one of the ways the council invites students to bring their questions, concerns, and ideas regarding their student experiences. The council can connect students with the appropriate people and departments as needed.
